Invitations and Response Cards

Hello Everyone!

It’s been awhile since we’ve posted, but I have a feeling it will happen more frequently now that the wedding is only two and a half months away! I just wanted to let everyone know that invitations went out this week, and my parents have already received a few response cards in the mail. One thing we need everyone to do with the response cards is be sure to initial next to the meal you would like to have at the dinner. If you only put the number of meals next to the entrees, we won’t know who wants which meal and the caterers won’t know to whom they should give each entree. Please put your initials on the line next to the entree you would like so we know you’re the one who wants it. Thanks so much! We’re looking forward to seeing everyone in August!

Gift Registries and Bridal Shower Date

Hi everyone! Jared and I took a trip up to Altoona yesterday to register for the wedding! We were worried about finding things to register for, seeing as we already live together and have a lot of what we need, but it turns out we had no trouble! It was like going on a virtual shopping spree, and despite getting a flat tire from a beer bottle in the Target parking lot, we had a very fun day.  We just wanted to let everyone know that as of right now, we are registered at Target and Bed Bath & Beyond. The links for both registries are listed below, and we will also be sending out registry information with the invitations later this year.

Also, after checking with my bridesmaids, it sounds like my bridal shower will be held on June 22 in Lodi, Wisconsin. The bachelorette party will also be held that night after the shower, and anyone who comes to the shower is more than welcome to come out with us that night. I’ll keep you updated with those details as they develop!

Christmas Cards are Out!

Happy Holidays, everyone! If this is your first time here, chances are you just received one of our Save-the-Date Christmas cards :)

Feel free to bookmark our site as we will have more frequent and important updates as the wedding draws near, with the hopes of providing a quick and convenient space to keep you all informed. You can even sign up to post comments or contact us any time you’d like. We’ll be sure to post lots of pictures after the wedding as well! (And who knows, maybe we’ll keep the site going long after that as another way to stay in touch)

We hope you all enjoyed the cards. The photos are our handpicked favorites from our photo shoot with the lovely Katie Brenneman at Sonlight Imaging. Click here to see more! The cards were designed by Lindsay and I using Vista Print’s card editor. If you’re one of the few left to give us your address, it’s not too late! Also, with over 200 cards chances are good that we may have missed someone or made a mistake on the address. Please let us know if you did not receive a card and would like one!

Thanks for visiting and have a wonderful holiday!

Engagement Photos!

Hi everyone!

We were very excited last week when we got to see the engagement photos we had taken on November 2nd. Thanks to Hurricane Sandy, we had plenty of snow for a wintery session. We had a lot of fun running around in knee-high snow, and we’re very pleased with the results. I’m posing the link to the photo blog here so you can all take a look!

Thanksgiving and New Career Path

Happy Thanksgiving, Everyone!

We hope all our friends and family had a wonderful day filled with good company and of course – delicious food! We have had so much to be thankful for this year and although we were unable to travel, we did spend the day with some new friends. It’s crazy to think that the holiday season is already upon us, but here we are, getting all our Christmas decorations back out today and listening to Michael Bublé sing the classics.

Lindsay has been keeping busy, chipping away at her long list of schoolwork to finish up the semester and I have been keeping busier than usual myself. A few weeks ago I resigned from my position as a Recovery Engineer with NewPage Corporation, the company I had been working for since graduating back in 2009, in order to pursue a slightly different career path. I am proud to announce my new position as Enterprise Excellence Leader with Appleton, a company many of you will recognize as being Wisconsin based. Previously unknown to me, they happen to have a mill located just over an hour away from us in Roaring Spring, PA. I will be going back to more project based work and developing many skills as part of the Technical Department. With a few weeks under my belt, I can say that it is a good fit and a great place to work. If all goes well, we will likely move (again!) to Pennsylvania when Lindsay graduates in the spring. Always an adventure!
